If you love the joy of colour, the warmth of yarn and the coziness of community, join us for Indigodragonfly's annual Giftapalooza celebration!
Giftapalooza is our celebration of warmth and joy, community, and connecting with each other through our love of yarn and making. Every year we dye special colourways and wrap them up as a surprise for you to open on your favourite holiday, or on a day when you need a little boost.
What is Giftapalooza?
Giftapalooza is indigodragonfly's annual community yarn exchange.
Buy the items you wish to receive, and through the magic of the internets we will pair you with two partners - one who "gifts" you your package, and the other partner who "receives" their gift from you. Exchange holiday greetings (if you wish) and spread the yarny love while participating in some community spirit.
Give a gift, get a gift - Secret Santa, but something you'll actually love!
Sign ups are open until November 30.
What is available this year?
There are four yarn bases available. You can purchase as many skeins and as many bases as you wish for your package. Whether you want one special skein for a pair of socks, or several for a specific sweater or shawl to keep your making heart and soul warm and joyful, just tell us and we'll make the rest happen.

CaribouBaa - 100% superwash merino; fingering weight; 435 yds per 100g
R.O.U.Sport - 100% superwash merino; sport weight; 328 yds per 100g
MerGoat Sock - 80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon; heavy fingering weight; 400 yds per 115g
Linen/Silk Sock - 65% silk/35% linen; fingering weight; 420 yds per 115g
IMPORTANT!!
Once your order has been placed, you will receive a link to a survey to choose your colour family and other preferences. Because of the time-sensitive nature of holiday shipping, Giftapalooza purchases are stand-alone orders & unfortunately not eligible for combined shipping.
*If you have items in your order that are shipping to separate addresses (ie. Skeins For You going to your house and Gifts To Another Address going to your bestie's, please place them as separate orders so we get the shipping addresses we need)*

Skeins For You-these are skeins you buy for yourself and are shipping to your address. If you choose to, we will pair you up with a Giftapalooza partner who will "gift" you your desired skeins, and you will then "gift" skeins to another person.

Gifts To A Different Address-these are skeins you are buying as a gift for another person whose shipping address you know. Simply put their address in the shipping field and we will do the rest. If you would like this gift to be anonymous, send us an email at orders @ indigodragonfly.ca. Otherwise, we will let your recipient know who this is from. *PLEASE PURCHASE SEPARATELY FROM OTHER ITEMS*
Donation Skeins- Know someone who truly deserves a little something extra this year? Maybe they've had a train wreck of a year. Maybe they have something special to celebrate. Perhaps they love to knit or crochet and you'd like them to have some special yarn just because. That's where our Donation Skeins come in!

We will choose a recipient for you from our nominee pool, so don't forget to nominate folks that you feel deserve a little something extra this year. The Donation Skeins have the shipping price built into each skein, so that they're all ready to ship.
How do I nominate someone for a donation skein?
If you would like to nominate someone for a Donation skein, please email us at orders@indigodragonfly.ca with the subject Giftapalooza Nominee, and tell us their name, mailing address, and a brief reason why they deserve to be nominated. If you know their favourite colour(s), that is also helpful. We will send skeins to as many nominees as we can, so please don't hesitate to nominate that person(s) you are thinking about.
